The Fuel Rod Gun is featured in missions where Covenant enemies are fought, which is all of them except Osiris. It is commonly wielded by Elites and high-ranking Grunts.

The Fuel Rod Gun's projectile deals unrevivable damage to a Spartan, regardless of whether or not it directly hits them. This applies to all of the weapon's variants as well.

"The war on Sanghelios has led to unprecedented advances in fuel rod technology. Improved Fuel Rod Cannon that fires faster-moving projectiles that do more damage.[1]"

The Light of Urs is a Rare REQ variant of the Fuel Rod Gun that boasts a higher rate of fire, faster projectiles, larger damage area, and increased overall damage. The Light of Urs can also be found in the campaign mission Genesis as one of the three special weapons in that mission. It is located next to the corpse of Kit Pitlimp next to a data pad.

Pool of Radiance[edit]

"Both the Swords of Sanghelios and Covenant use once-forbidden armaments in their bloody civil war. Advanced Fuel Rod Cannon that fires unstable projectiles that leave a dangerous residue in their impact area.[2]"

The Pool of Radiance is an Ultra Rare REQ variant of the Fuel Rod Gun. It has a lower rate of fire, but its projectiles are considerably even more powerful, as they have a proximity airburst fuse, a larger explosion radius, and explode two more times after impact. Using the weapon in Warzone requires the consumption of a Pool of Radiance REQ card and at least
