The Splinter Grenade is a grenade that was first introduced in Halo 5: Guardians.

In Halo 5: Guardians, the splinter grenade featured is the Z-400 splinter grenade, manufactured by Ferrarius Assembler Vats and is actually one of many programmable settings for the Z-040 pulse grenade.

In the campaign of Halo 5: Guardians, the Splinter Grenade can be found in every mission where Prometheans are fought. It is thrown by Soldiers and can be looted from them after they are killed.
