Differences from the original game

Help.png This section is a stub. You can help Halopedia by expanding it.
  • Like the previous two levels, there are large amounts of Flood biomass growing throughout various sections of the level, in this case creating a significant difference in the map’s layout during Assault on the Control Room.
  • The method of damaging the Pulse generators has changed from disrupting the field with the Master Chief’s MJOLNIR armor shields to destroying three corresponding power conduits in each room.
  • A large secret area can be accessed by landing on top of the central platform near the second Pulse generator, where a terminal unlocks a door on a platform opposite the generator platform. The player will first fight a mixture of Sangheili combat forms,Spec Ops and Stealth Sangheili and Spec Ops Unggoy in a round chamber similar to those through the rest of the level’s interiors. The next room is a long hallway with carrier forms and combat forms wielding energy swords in front of one with a rocket launcher. The third and final room contains a mixture of combat forms and Tank forms in an area with a deactivated pulse generator. Each room must be cleared of all enemies and the next will be opened by a terminal, the final wave will cause the Mythic Skull to spawn in the middle of the pulse generator.
  • Flood biomass is used to block previously accessible areas from Assault on the Control Room. This includes the cave used to reach the end of the canyon where Fireteam Zulu waits for evac, the cave near the beginning of the Scorpion run, and the door the Master Chief enters the first canyon in early in the mission.
  • During the final cutscene, the Master Chief continues to fight Sentinels as Cortana discusses using teleportation grid.
