Differences from the original game[edit]
This section is a stub. You can help Halopedia by expanding it.
- There is no longer a cutscene when the marines board the ship, instead being seamlessly done during gameplay.
- The marines and Sergeant Johnson accompany the Master Chief throughout the entire mission, and do not remain behind in the ship’s control room while searching for Captain Keyes.
- One of the holding cells contains a friendly Unggoy that will act as another member of the marine squad. Humorously, there is no banter or acknowledgement among either party.
- After rescuing the Captain, the Master Chief will attempt to return his pistol, Keyes declines and states that it is in good hands.
- The ending cutscene shows Keyes taking control of the Spirit dropship, giving the first look at the cockpit of the ship. The ending cutscene also changes in that it shows the marines boarding the ship, and the Hunters instead ambush the Master Chief, prompting Keyes to hit them with the dropship.
