Makupa was a district in the city of Mombasa, Kenya. It was situated on the northern side of Mombasa Island, and housed the Makupa Causeway that linked the city to the Kenyan mainland. It was also home to a NMTA train station. The area was considered a part of Old Mombasa.[1]
Moments before the Covenant attack on the city, Vergil stopped the train Sadie Endesha was on at the Makupa Station to prevent her from enlisting in the UNSC at Magongo. After Solemn Penance appeared over the city, she made her way to Kwakiziwi some distance south of Makupa, where she was abducted by Commissioner Kinsler.[2]
