Battle Group X-Ray was a battle group fleet given to Admiral Cole to command in 2526.[6]

On March 1, 2526, Battle Group X-Ray engaged the Covenant over Harvest. The engagement resulted in the destruction of 13 UNSC vessels and a single Rasus-pattern interdictor.[5][6]

Seven days after the battle at Harvest, Admiral Cole as well as several others formulated Operation: SILENT STORM. The group predicted that the Covenant would likely attack Biko.
