Battle Group X-Ray was a battle group fleet given to Admiral Cole to command in 2526.[6]
History
Harvest

On March 1, 2526, Battle Group X-Ray engaged the Covenant over Harvest. The engagement resulted in the destruction of 13 UNSC vessels and a single Covenant super-destroyer.[5][6]
SILENT STORM
- Main article: Operation: SILENT STORM
Seven days after the battle at Harvest, Admiral Cole as well as several others formulated Operation: SILENT STORM. The group predicted that the Covenant would likely attack Biko. With this, Task Force Yama would secretly waiting to counter-attack the Covenant when they got there. At the same time, Battle Group X-Ray would start harassing Covenant forces independently of Yama.[3]
Post-2526
The battle group was disbanded or transferred to another flag-officer sometime prior to the Battle of Psi Serpentis, as Admiral Cole then commanded UNSC Battle Group India.[1][5][7]
