The Siege of Dwarka[1] was a Covenant attack on the human Outer Colony Dwarka.

Battle[edit]

During the battle, Jiralhanae shock troops including Bassus ransacked several residential sectors. He made a cruel display of dead humans in order to demoralize their forces.[1][4]

Aftermath[edit]

At least one freighter was able to escape the planet's destruction, carrying a dozen evacuee children including Thom-A293. This freighter eventually made contact with an Office of Naval Intelligence vessel, resulting in Thom's induction into the SPARTAN-III program.[4]

Following the battle, contact with the colony was lost and for at least some parts of the UNSC, its fate was unknown. Even five years later, it hadn't been revealed, a fact that prompted worry in Lieutenant Jacob Keyes, as his sister lived on the planet.[5]
