Kikowani

Kikowani was a district of the city of New Mombasa, Kenya, Earth. It was located northeast of the city center, on the northern side of the Mombasa island, next to the large seawall surrounding the island. The district contained multiple open areas, housing corporate buildings, separated by large walls with tunnels between them. The tunnels were accessible through massive doors.
NMTA's Kikowani Station was located here, accessible from the city's Sector 0.[1]
History
During the Covenant attack on the city in the Battle of Earth, the area was flooded, likely due to the seawall breaking. Numerous Huragok Recharge Stations were deployed to the area by the Covenant.
A battle also took place here, between a squad of ODSTs, and a large number of Covenant forces, including a Scarab. During the battle, the ODSTs destroyed multiple Huragok Recharge Stations, as well as most of the Covenant forces present in the area, before flying out of the city through a tunnel.
Trivia
- Kikowani is a district in real-world Mombasa, located approximately in the same area as it is in Halo 3: ODST.
- In Halo 3: ODST, the Campaign level Kikowani Station takes place in this area.
