The Gloto-pattern Breaching Carapace,[2] (UNSC Type classification: Type-51 Individual Breaching Carapace, T-51 IBC), is a type of multi-occupant orbital entry vehicle used by the Covenant remnants, namely Jul 'Mdama's faction.[1]
Overview
Specifications
The Gloko-pattern Breaching Carapace is a 1 to 5 personnel drop pod with a primary purpose to rapidly infiltrate planetary or ship-based defenses with discretion. It is equipped with forward-braking thrusters for deceleration and a set of terrain-locking prongs on its underside to anchor the pod to the ground.[1]
Development history
The Gloto-pattern Breaching Carapace was developed by Lodam Armory.[1][2]
Usage
The Gloto-pattern Breaching Carapace is the most prominent model of drop pod used by Jul 'Mdama's faction in the post-Covenant War era.[1]
