- — An Unggoy Conscript during the Battle for Zeta Halo.
Conscripts are basic Grunt units utilized by the Banished as light foot soldiers and cannon fodder, just like the Unggoy Minors in the original Covenant. They are standard infantry, often led by Sangheili or Jiralhanae squad leaders. They panic when their leaders are slain, throwing their group into disarray. They will occasionally turn suicidal, equipping dual plasma grenades in a last attempt to kill their opponents. They pose little threat individually, but pose a greater danger in larger groups led by their superiors. They will melee the player if the player gets too close.
Conscripts are equipped with regular Unggoy methane rebreathers, and utilize orange or blue pointed methane tanks and combat harnesses. Orange Conscripts carry Rohakadu-pattern plasma pistols, while blue Conscripts carry Posu'gelka-pattern needlers. Both types carry plasma grenades.
