Numerous escape pods aboard UNSC Panama.
These small escape pods are a type of lifeboat fitted on human spacecraft and space stations.
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
Designed to accomodate up to three people,[1] the exterior hatches that cover the escape pods are triangular in shape, and equipped aboard starships in alternating rows. Fitting their small capacity, they are much smaller than the Bumblebee series of lifeboat shuttles.
They are known to be equipped on:
- Charon-class light frigate - 30 escape pods (alongside other single-man escape pods).[2]
- Mulsanne-class light frigate - 14 escape pods.[3]
- Paris-class heavy frigate - 72 escape pods.[4]
- Halcyon-class light cruiser - 112 escape pods (alongside 18 SKT-9 Bumblebees).[5]
- UNSC construction platforms - 16 escape pods.[6]
