The Battle of Verge was an engagement that took place on the human colony world of Verge between the United Nations Space Command and the Covenant Empire[1] in September 2552.[2]
After the Covenant invasion of the Epsilon Eridani System and the Battle of Reach, SPARTAN Team Black was sent to the ruined city of Cuidad de Arias on Verge, a UNSC colony invaded by the Covenant some months back, to destroy a Covenant Beacon, in order to cut off their supply of helium-3 to the ships blockading Tribute. They succeeded in their mission, despite accidentally setting free a colony of Yanme'e Unmutuals.
