Mercy is a Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer map set on Sanghelios. The map is a remake of Haven from Halo 4.[1]

Universe and lore

Mercy is set in a Sangheili temple where it's architects made out of stone and metal to house vesper bells, hushed scriptoriums, and oracular pools. The centre piece of the temple is a Forerunner artifact that drop healing waters enriched with nootropic compounds and microscopic sprites that cool tempestuous souls and mend even the most grievous wounds. The water is churned within the temples heartspring, and is considered a boon.[2][3]

The temple was sealed away by the Prophets for two millennia, and was opened after the fall of the Covenant. This lead to the temple halls once again ringing with songs of victory while Kaidons clad in traditional finery drink herb-laced droughts and consult the records archives before planning their next campaign, as they did in days long before the Covenant.[2][3] The temple also is decorated with Swords of Sanghelios banners.[4]
