The M862 Arctic Warthog (also referred to as the Arctic Hog)[1] is a variant of the M12 Warthog that is outfitted specifically for expeditions in arctic conditions.[1]
Description[edit]
Unlike its standard variant, the M862 Warthog features an enclosed cabin and quad-tracks, allowing it to scale icy heights and travel over deep snow.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- The M862 Arctic was planned for inclusion in Halo: Ground Command as part of an upgrade set for the Warthog vehicle which would have included the M862's quad-treads and the M39 rocket turret used by the M12A1 Rocket Warthog.[2]
- The M862's described characteristics bear an extreme resemblance to a cut vehicle concepted for inclusion in Halo 2. This was later confirmed by Jeff Easterling,[3] with the note that it can change later if 343 Industries needed.[4]
List of appearances[edit]
