Design details[edit]

Main article: M12B Warthog

The Vespin Warthog is a modified M12B Warthog named after a particularly deadly pseudo-arachnid that often lairs in ancient temple complexes on Sanghelios used as staging areas painted with a yellow-and-black colour scheme.[1] The Warthog is created in conjunction with Thel 'Vadams artisan-armorers, using technologies unearthed from Sanghelios' past.[2] The vehicle has increased armor over standard Warthog models, and faster acceleration and reload time on the rockets fired from the M80 missile launcher.[1] To date, Vespin Warthogs have only been observed in a Light Anti-Aircraft Vehicle configuration.

By 2558, the Vespin Warthog was employed by UNSC forces conducting joint patrols with the Swords of Sanghelios on the eponymous planet, defending the Sanghelios badlands against Created scouts and Covenant remnants.[1]

The Vespin Warthog is available for use in the multiplayer of Halo 5: Guardians. In the Warzone mode, it can be called in as a REQ, while it can also be spawned in Forge mode for use in custom games.

The Vespin Warthog REQ card is classed as a legendary REQ, requiring REQ level 5 to call in in Warzone. Like the camouflaged variants of Warthog, the Vespin Warthog's armour has 40% more health than a standard Warthog.[3]
