Iona is an Artificial Intelligence construct attached to SPARTAN-II Team Black during the UNSC Naval Intelligence mission to capture and destroy Covenant ships in Sub-Sector 35. Instead, the vessel carrying the team ended up crashing on a desolate moon housing a mysterious Forerunner installation.[1]
