The M1 Combat Knife[1] is a combat knife used by United Nations Space Command service personnel.[2][1][3][4]
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
The M1 combat knife is often seen being sheathed on the clavicle/shoulder region.[3][4][1] Though could be stored openly on the back of SPARTANs.[5]
History[edit]
The M1 dates back to at least 2531, as Red Team would maintain these knives after their disappearance.[6][5] The knife would continue to see service through to at least 2553 with some SPARTAN personnel in the rest of the UNSC.[4]
Usage[edit]
Rosenda-A344 had an M1 combat knife as part of her equipment in at least 2551.[7][3] She would use it to kill multiple Kig-Yar during the Defense of Concord.[7]
By 2552, it was seen in use with UNSC Army personnel on Reach[8] and some UNSC Marines on the UNSC Pillar of Autumn.[9]
Hazel-A302 had an M1 combat knife as part of her equipment by at least 2553.[4]
In 2559, after the UNSC Spirit of Fire arrived at Installation 00, Douglas-042 would attempt to use an M1 on Atriox.[6] Jerome-092 would also make use of his when Boarding the Enduring Conviction.[5]
