The Gunfighter Magnum is a variant of the M6H2 Magnum.[5]

Overview[edit]

Design details[edit]

The Gunfighter Magnum is a stripped down variant of the M6H2 handgun that had its trigger guard, knuckle guard, the under-barrel flashlight module and Projection sight module removed. Alongside these changes, it had faster loading magazines added. These modifications allow the user to perform quicker weapon draws and faster reloads.[6]

Usage[edit]

The Gunfighter Magnum is used by Spartan-IV operatives as a backup sidearms.[3]

In-game information[edit]

The Gunfighter Magnum was added in the Anvil's Legacy update alongside the Tactical Magnum.[5] It can be used in Warzone and spawned in Forge Mode.

Advantages[edit]

The Gunfighter Magnum has the fastest rate of fire out of the semi-automic magnums, having an approximate fire-rate of 5 rounds/second, compared to the 4 rounds/sec of the standard M6H2.[6] Alongside having the fastest fire-rate, it also has the fastest reload speed and best handling, having a reload time of ~1 second and a handling of 0.10 seconds, allowing it to be drawn, holstered and fired almost instantly.[6]

Disadvantages[edit]

Despite having the fastest fire rate and the best handling, the Gunfighter Magnum also comes with some cons. Its Red reticle range is really low, at just 23.13 meters when firing from the hip and 27.62 meters when aiming down sights and having a zoom level of 1.2x.[6]

Variants[edit]

  • Buck's Magnum:

The sidearm of Spartan-IV Edward Buck. His magnum has the same removed parts as the Gunfighter Magnum and a nickel plated slide similar to the Whispered Truth's slide.[7]

The Whispered Truth is a magnum machine pistol that fires in burst. It boasts the same stripped parts as the Gunfighter Magnum, but is modified with a custom nickel plated slide and a Suppressor.[8]

Trivia[edit]

The Gunfighter Magnum's design and gameplay attributes are most likely based on Race guns. These types of firearms have modified parts ranging from compensators, skeletonized triggers, magwells for easier introducing of a fresh magazine and/or optical sights.
