Spartans are well-versed at sourcing weapons from the remains of their enemies. The Berserker's Claw fires a devastating fuel rod shot after a short charging cycle. This fuel rod will track aerial targets.[1]

Berserker's Claw is a variant of the iconic arm-mounted assault cannons utilised by Mgalekgolo infantry.[2]

Overview[edit]

Design details[edit]

Main article: Assault cannon

The Berserker's Claw is a specialised variant of assault cannon, designed to use magnetic fields to shape and contain incendiary gas in a manner similar to other plasma weaponry. It has a red colouration with white and yellow accents, and requires a short charge-up before firing. Once the bolt is fired, it can track aerial targets in a manner similar to the heavy fuel rod cannons of anti-aircraft Wraiths.[1]

Usage[edit]

Although typically wielded by Mgalekgolo, Berserker's Claws are sometimes ripped off dead units to be wielded by Spartans as heavy weaponry.[1] They have been integrated into War Games simulations for use by SPARTAN-IVs.[3]

In-game information[edit]

Halo 5: Guardians[edit]

"Equally effective against infantry as well as medium vehicles, the Berserker’s Claw requires a short charge up before it can be fired, but does fire projectiles that will explode on impact and possibly take out a cluster of targets with one shot. The projectiles also track flying vehicles, and are a great counter to early vehicle play."
— Senior Systems Designer Dan Wiksten, regarding Berserker's Claw.[2]

Berserker's Claw was added to Halo 5: Guardians in the Anvil's Legacy update. It is an Ultra Rare 4 energy REQ card that can be requisitioned in Warzone.
