The Mwatate Street Transit Center was a New Mombasa Transit Authority facility located in Kilindini in the city of New Mombasa, Kenya. It was situated next to the Kilindini Park Cultural Center and connected to Shimanzi Road. During the Battle of Mombasa, the transit center was abandoned, free of taxis, buses or private vehicles that normally occupied it. John-117 and a pair of Marines traveled through the transit center on a M12G1 LAAV, encountering two Ghosts that appeared from an elevated roadway above the transit center.[1]
