Kilindini was a district located on Mombasa Island in the city of New Mombasa, Kenya. A part of the city's industrial district, it was home to New Mombasa's docks situated at Kilindini Harbor southwest of the district. The Mwatate Street Transit Center, Kilindini Park Cultural Center, Beria Plaza and Kilindini Station were also located here. The Kilindini Underpass passed below the Kilindini district and resurfaced near the industrial area.[1]
During the Battle of Mombasa, John-117 made his way through the district on his way to the center of the industrial zone.[2]
