Shrine[1] is a multiplayer map in Halo 2 Anniversary. It is a remake of Sanctuary from Halo 2, with some minor changes. Shrine is one of the six Halo 2 multiplayer map remakes that have been completely re-imagined for Halo 2 Anniversary.[2]

Layout

Changes from Sanctuary

  • Shooting a large, orange light at each team's base, the "Ruined Temple" and the "Overgrown Shrine", causes a waterfall to encompass the base. After some time, the waterfall resets.[3]
  • The energy sword at the "Mausoleum" has been replaced with a rocket launcher.
