Regret is a Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer map. It is based on a Covenant CCS-class battlecruiser[1] in Thel 'Vadam's fleet that crashed on an unknown Halo ring after taking damage in a space battle. The map is suited to 4v4 Team Slayer mode and was featured in the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta.[2] Regret is a remix of the map Truth. The map featured the Hydra MLRS as the main power weapon on Slayer and the unidentified rocket launcher in Strongholds. It, along with Eden, were featured in Week Two of Halo 5's beta.

Trivia

  • When looking up at the sky, one will notice that half of the Halo ring is missing. Whether or not this is intentional or is just a visual error is not known.
  • The original design idea of Truth remix was to simply turn the map geometry upside down. The concept of having a crashed Covenant ship was eventually developed from this.[2]
  • The central structure on Regret is crawling with large beetles that are reminiscent of Earth's Beetles.
