The Fleet of Particular Justice was a Covenant Naval unit.

It was formerly led by Supreme Commander Thel 'Vadamee. This Fleet was the one present at the Battle of Reach, and pursued the UNSC Pillar of Autumn to Installation 04, also known as Alpha Halo.

Background

This Fleet, under the leadership of the Thel 'Vadamee, was accountable for all the Covenant forces the UNSC fought during the Battle of Installation 04. Though it is believed Thel 'Vadamee was not present at any ground battle. They fought the humans, the Forerunner constructs under the command of 343 Guilty Spark, and eventually the Flood.

The Covenant Fleet glassing Reach as the UNSC Pillar Of Autumn flees the planet.

As Installation 04 was destroyed, some of the Fleet was vaporized along with it. However, several vessels survived, including six cruisers and a flagship of the Fleet, Ascendant Justice.

One Artifact Retrieval team, led by Sesa 'Refumee, was on Threshold at the time of the Fleet's destruction. Upon discovery of 343 Guilty Spark, they rebelled and became the Heretics, resulting in a conflict that was a prelude to the Covenant Civil War. The Heretics were wiped out, but the Covenant belief in their creed fell abundantly.

The Fleet of Particular Justice was one of the Covenant's larger Fleets, only exceeded by the Combined Fleet of Righteous Purpose led by Imperial Admiral Xytan 'Jar Wattinree and the Second Fleet of Homogenous Clarity whose purpose was to defend the Covenant capital city known as High Charity.

Casualties

Initially a force of more than 315 vessels, the Fleet took heavy casualties at the Battle of Reach, mainly because of the planet's defending MK V "Super" MAC Orbital Guns. Its strength was reduced by approximately 270 vessels, still a formidable force. Among the survivors, a dozen chased the Autumn, while the others proceeded glassing Reach. When the Fleet of Particular Justice set up a blockade for the Pillar of Autumn at the exterior of Installation 04, it is believed that the Pillar of Autumn actually managed to destroy at least 4 of the Fleet's Cruisers and damage many others. At the end of the Battle of Installation 04, it is believed that several, if not almost all ships were completely destroyed. However, several vessels did survive the destruction, including six Cruisers and the leading Flagship of the Fleet, the Ascendant Justice.[1]
