- Cleyell is glassed by a remnant of the Covenant. The UNSC Cascadia deploys Army and Marine search-and-rescue teams led by Sergeant Holly Tanaka to relieve the stranded colonists on the surface.[1] After the mission, Captain French recommends Tanaka to the SPARTAN-IV program. She is recruited shortly after by Jun-A266.[2]

- September 25: Believe, a musical event performed by the UNSC Symphony Orchestra, takes place at the UNSC Symphony Hall at 1900 hours. It is centered on remembering Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 and his service to the UNSC.[8]
- November 6: The Shadow of Intent returns to active duty, accompanied by unidentified logistical support craft, to pacify rogue faction forces in the Urs system.[9]
- After November 7: Onboard the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn, Cortana, showing clear signs of rampancy, files a report on the history of the Forerunners and humanity.[10]
