Talon

A talon is a term used in the armed forces of the Covenant and its remnants to describe a unit of up to five aircraft, ranging from small Banshees to large dropships like the Spirit or Phantom.[1] It is roughly analogous to the concept of a flight in the United Nations Space Command.
Although typically used to represent between one and five aircraft,[1] Seraph fighters may be organised in talons of eight or more craft, which split into hunting pairs during a mission.[2]
In the Banished, the commanding officer of a given talon is given the title of talon-chief.[3]
