Halopedia talk:Halopedian of the Month/07 2010

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

According to the Self-voting amendment, users may no longer vote for themselves until someone votes for them first.

Before You Vote[edit]

  • Only votes from users who have accounts on Halopedia and whose vote are cast while being logged in will count. The account must have been created at least one month before the vote and have at least 50 article edits.
  • For example, if one is voting for HOTM for the month of October then the user must have created their account in July or before July.
  • Votes will be counted for next month. Please vote on the section for next month, because only the votes in that section will be counted.
  • You can vote one time only. If you wish to change your vote, cross out (but do not remove) any previous votes you have made.
  • Please bold your nomination so it is easier to see.
  • In the event of a tie the results from the edit count page will be used as a tie breaker.
  • You must put your vote with your signature in the voting area. In the end votes with signatures are the only ones that will be counted.

July 2010[edit]

  • Fluffy - Great contributions since 2009. - 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 18:07, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
  • Jack Phoenix - Jack has done a lot of good work for this wiki the past few months, most of which might have been unnoticed by most users. I feel his hard work deserves a reward. --Jedimca0(Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 19:27, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
  • Jack Phoenix - per Jedimca0. Col. Snipes450 19:38, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
  • Jack Phoenix - Can't think of a more deserving user for Halopedian of the Month. Should be an administrator. Roy Mustang's mini-skirt 22:08, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
  • Fluffy- Me! There's always something sad about voting for yourself, but I can't help it. I really love Halo and contributing to the Halopedia, and have been trying to edit every day I can. Even though it must be a pain to write out my full name, I was still voted for. Becoming the Halopedian of the Month means a lot to me... I would love to give a premature "thank you- you are awesome!" to all of the people who will vote for me. Everyone on the Halopedia is awesome, but you guys are the best... By my view, of course. Anyway, yeah, thanks! Keep being awesome, and I hope I win! --Fluffball Gato 22:31, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
  • Fluffy- I vote Fluffball Gato because he helped me when I first Registered on Halopedia and probobly saved me from a block. User:Bustie24 00:02, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

  • Cally99117 - Well because I have looked through most of the contributions of many others and did not find very many major contributions (as in like not really contributing alot to this wiki) but because I have been working hard on adding sources from the Halo Encyclopedia (2009 edition) I think I might deserve HotM until I see someone else making major contributions (no offence). • Jack Phoenix — Funny guy who's made some awesome contributions in the past. Seems like people are too focused on people who are actively editing, and forget to recognize those who have gone unnoticed in the past. User:CommanderTony/Sig
  • Sangheili Commando 021: Fluffball Gato - Good edits, awesome username, good to get along with, definitely should be the Halopedian of the Month. Kougermasters (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 00:22, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

  • Cally99117 - Cally99117: Like me, he's a hard working Halopedian. Sangheili Commando 021: Fluffball Gato: He makes great contributions once in a while, but needs to increase his activity here. Kougermasters, usernames doesn't help a user achieve HOTM. Jack Phoenix: Voting for the user who has the most votes so far is not wise. He may make good contribs in a different wiki, but this is Halopedia', for pete's sake. CT, he may make good edits in th past, but hello! I don't know who to vote for because when Jugus started to clean up the wanted pages list by removing red links which made me want to nominate for this month him but he went a bit inactive (not inactive alot but he just did not make very many edits after a while) but General5 7 started to contribute greatly to Halo 2 (Windows Vista) Achievements which made me want to nominate her for this month but after that was done she started to make not very many contributions recently and those two nominated above I haven't seen many major contributions from them recently (no offence) so I am going to wait until I find someone making major contributions before I nominate someone. Cally991UserWiki:Cally99117|1]]7 20:49, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry- I don't mean to sound suspicious, (being that he is the only other nominee at the time) but have you noticed that two of the three current voters for Jack Phoenix just barely fit the requirements? (Not SpartanSniper, the other two) I mean, they were both made rather recently and have just over 50 edits? The vast majority of users that new don't know about the HOTM, I know I didn't... Even stranger, both of them voted the first day of the voting. I'm not trying to jump to conclusions, and I'm not necessarily saying they're "fake" accounts, but you cannot deny that this is highly unusual... Especially as Jack Phoenix hasn't made an edit for a month (and even then, only to his userpage), and they shouldn't know him very well. I don't think that their votes should be nullified or anything, but could an administrator make an IP analysis? Again- I hate to say this to my own competitor, but I hate cheating. I need to say this one more time: I just find the situation extremely unlikely, I am not trying to get him in trouble because he is running against me! In fact, that could even make me not want to point this out, as it makes me look bad! I just want to check it out. NEW INFO: both of those users have their previous edits on April 5th, and after two months of no edits, they both vote for him on the same day. Now, this is getting ridiculous. Now I admit, I am becoming extremely suspicious. The chances of them not being fraud accounts is unlikely. Sorry.--Fluffball Gato 22:41, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
It would be highly unlikely... visit the Irk sometime and say hi to ashley. :) - 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 23:12, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
Or have our IP's checked... you'll find me and Jack are about a thousand kilometers apart and in different countries. I myself have been active on wikia since 2007 and am an admin on several wikis. I noticed Jack's edits here a while back and helped him out a bit, I then figured you guys would see his good work and nominate him. When it became clear to me that his contributions had most likely gone unnoticed I decided to nominate him myself. Jack did some really good work around here and I just felt he deserved a reward for that. --Jedimca0(Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 23:39, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
I might just be being paranoid, but honestly, both you and that other guy who voted for him stopped editing on exactly the same day. Both of you had accounts made around the same time, and barely hit the requirements. I have no idea how you know what country he lives in, but I'll believe you until further evidence is acquired. He stopped editing in April, so you wouldn't have known him for long. --Fluffball Gato 00:54, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
C'mon man, let it go, it is pretty suspicious, I agree, but people are going to look at you and think you are trying to get rid of competition. I don't, but thats what i'm seeing in the above comment.Sergeant JimMy 03:19, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
I am a bit suspicious but they do have the requirements so I am leaving them be but as I said above I didn't see many major contributions by some of the nominated above (no offence) so I am going to wait a while. Cally991UserWiki:Cally99117|1]]7 08:02, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think Ashley deserves the July HotM either way because he has not edited since April. I am completely against his nomination. - JEA13 [iTalk] 08:36, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Firstly, let me say that I'm very honored that Jedimca0 chose to nominate me. He could've voted for the (at the time, only) other candidate instead.

Now then...

I mean, they were both made rather recently

[citation needed]. Or what is your explanation to this edit on Darthipedia, which Jedimca0 made on 11 August 2007, almost three years ago?

The vast majority of users that new don't know about the HOTM, I know I didn't...

Assume good faith, even though this isn't Wikipedia. Just because you didn't know about HotM doesn't mean that nobody else knows about it.

Especially as Jack Phoenix hasn't made an edit for a month

I admit that I've been busy outside Halopedia, sorry.

and they shouldn't know him very well

Both Jedimca0 and I are administrators on Darthipedia, the Star Wars Humor Wiki. I don't know who the other voter is, but I appreciate their support; it means a lot to me when even newer users trust in me.

could an administrator make an IP analysis?

No, for the simple reason that only Wikia staff are able to perform CheckUser checks.

The chances of them not being fraud accounts is unlikely.

Vladimir Putin is wearing a bear. Your argument is invalid. No, seriously though, I lol'd at this comment. Just because you don't know someone doesn't mean that they're my sock, even though they happened to vote for me. According to Nic, I have a rather large fanbase...which, to an extent, seems to be somewhat true. --Jack Phoenix (Contact) 08:53, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

I've got to say, even despite me taking a neutral standpoint on this due to my constantly being away from halopedia, I think it Fluffy's defense this did seem very suss. Just that two of them would pop in after a month of inactivity, and both vote for you on the same day (within 3 hours of each other). Furthermore, the Skirt guy made no further edits or contributions which also seems odd (not necessarily a point on its own, but when coinciding with the observations looked as if it had some significance.). I overall though, this was just a large set of coincidences, which seemed irregular due to the fact that the votes could sway the entire HoTM. Think Ashley cleared it up nicely. This almost got out of hand last month so stop the campaigning, everyone is entitled to their opinion in HotM. -- Cally991UserWiki:Cally99117|1]]7 08:58, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
After reading all the comments, I've also decided to clear things up (I know Jack did in a way, but I'll lend some support): Jack_Phoenix and Jedimca0 are not sockpuppets. I know both these users personally, and I assure everyone that there is no fraud voting going on (you guys should visit the IRC sometime if you want further evidence). Perhaps bias as co-workers had something to do with the nomination as well as Jack's work? Maybe so, but if we're taking bias into account, we ought to re-consider nominations we ourselves have done in the past out of friendship; I myself admittedly have nominated some friends out of my personal favour along with their work. That doesn't mean they didn't deserve it. In fact, isn't it better off to know someone personally when you nominate them for an award? Doesn't that make it easier to judge them? Jack nonetheless, as a mediawiki developer has made his own impact of contribs to the wiki. Whether you think he deserves the award is up to each individual, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Jed's nomination may seem strange and biased to most of you, but don't take it out on him or Jack by assuming they're sockpuppets. Just his opinion, as illogical it sounds. By the way, both of them have been around on wikia longer than most of us here. - Nìcmávr (Tálk) 10:34, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
Hey Fluffball Gato, I think it's suspicious that you voted for yourself. SmokeSound off! 11:16, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
Although I don't agree with the word "suspicious," as I did it rather openly, I would agree that it is somewhat self-serving.--Fluffball Gato 22:47, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

LOLOLOL ashley has socs....this is great stuff. Btw I appreciate the intensity. It reminds me that the internet is srs bznz. - S.B.44 [Talk] 16:50, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

I agree with everything Nicmavr said, but I was just wondering why was Ashley nominated for the July HotM, while he has not been into editing since April. The rest of the competitors have been editing like maniacs lately, and Ashley's nomination is really unfair for them. They deserve it for all their hard work, despite the fact that they both voted for themselves. - JEA13 [iTalk] 16:53, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Exactly Man!Sergeant JimMy Stacker 06:23, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

I nominated him this month because no one nominated him last month. I thought his contributions would be noticed and that he would get nominated. When that did not happen I decided to nominate him this month because, although he's been busy recently, he has done a lot of good for this wiki and I feel he deserves this award no matter when he made his edits. --Jedimca0(Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 17:09, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
More or less the same reason I nominated you, JEA, for August (seeing you didn't get it in July when you deserved it) ;) - Nìcmávr (Tálk) 17:40, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
:D But at least I had still been editing in August... that's what my problem here is... its not like Ashley edit rate has fallen... he has not been editing! - JEA13 [iTalk] 17:51, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
This isn't a competition, it's supposed to be an award to honor those who put forth good contributions. Phoenix may not have been editing but he has alerted me to quite a few vandals. He isn't totally inactive. SmokeSound off! 19:04, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Don't get me wrong, though, I am not one of those people who attempts to destroy my competition by making false accusations: I just find it extremely unlikely that two users that have been inactive for two months and barely hit the requirements both vote for somebody who hasn't made a mainspace edit for two months. Keep in mind they all went inactive at the same time! I'm still not fully convinced. I suppose it's possible that they are friends, and they made this plan months ago, but other than that: it's extremely unlikely. Look, after two months of inactivity, Jack Phoenix comes back the day of nomination! Am I the only one finding this extremely odd? --Fluffball Gato 22:47, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Those who spend time in the Irk knows the real situation. I would suggest talk to them for clarification if you still feel suspicious. - 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 23:09, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
They are two different people. The reason Phoenix showed up was because he was alerted to the vote in the IRC. It isn't some vast conspiracy to steal votes or anything else. He thanked Jedimca0 for voting for him, plain and simple. No one's sockpuppeting. SmokeSound off! 00:15, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I understand now. Hopefully you can understand my suspicions, though. Jack Phoenix hadn't made a mainspace edit in two months, and then these two came out, barely hitting the requirements. Jack Phoenix, I'm sorry... But nobody can deny that, without the background knowledge, this situation seems extremely unlikely. Once again: sorry. I didn't mean to sound so accusatory. We still haven't figured out Roy, though... He has 51 edits, and really shouldn't have known him. My guess is that he was following Jedimca0's lead. One more time: sorry! I won't try to be so skeptical again!--Fluffball Gato 01:35, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

To Smoke: I don't really think that reporting a couple (or whatever the number is) of vandals to the administration is worthy of a HotM. Remember that months ago, when I would report vandals and spam almost everyday to your and Subtank's blacklists, all I would get in return was that lousy argument about me not knowing how difficult handling vandals is. Well anyway, my point is that when you have two amazing contributors in front of you to choose from, no matter how "suspicious" they are, it shows great amount of desrespect and derision to them and their contributions when your vote goes for the guy who has not edited for two months, "just because he reported quite a few vandals". It's completely unfair, and I hope everyone who voted for Ashley could realize it. I mean no disrespect to your vote. - JEA13 [iTalk] 07:40, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Do tell how a vote disrespects and derides their nominations. I'm really interested. The "suspicious" comment I made was sarcasm. In the context of everything that is going on here (which I was/still am making fun of), if you didn't understand that... read it again. SmokeSound off! 13:39, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
JEA13, first off, I see three people being nominated here, so that would make three amazing contributors... And sure, Jack's contributions weren't any great big articles and sure he didn't edit for a while... but that does not make his contributions any less compared to the others. He has just been busy with other wiki responsibilities that are not Halopedia, that is not a crime or something. I nominated him this month because I feared his hard work had gone unnoticed. I first started editing here on Halopedia because Jack told me this was a nice and friendly wiki, I didn't think a simple nomination would be such a big problem. Sure, I should have nominated him last month, but I just figured one of you guys would have noticed his contributions and would nominate him. So please, can we drop this and just get back to what this page is all about? Honoring Halopedia's hard working contributors. Thank you. --Jedimca0(Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 09:27, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
You don't seem to be able to realise that this is called Halopedian of the Month, not Halopedian with the best contributions ever. - JEA13 [iTalk] 10:38, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
And you don't seem to understand that those who are eligible to vote may vote any way they please, for any user who they feel merits the honor, for any reason. SmokeSound off! 13:39, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
This is just turning into one big set of campaigning, once again. I'm going to take JEA's side on this issue, only because his last point is dead on. I think it would be stupid to attempt to say that Jack's contributions are not substantial, as it is quite the opposite. However, Halopedian of the month is meant to be used to highlight users who are actively helping the wiki and making great contributions. Jack makes great contributions, but the thing is, he just hasn't being doing it as actively as he usually does - other nominees have. Everyone appreciates Jack's efforts, and I think if you really believe that winning Halopedian of the month is the only way to properly have a user's contributions recognized, than you are simply taking this much more seriously than you should. BLADEBANE Anti-Vandal 10:54, June 3, 2010 (UTC)Blade bane
Blade, If JEA saying Jack doesn't deserves it isn't campaigning, how can you say that me saying he deserves it as much as the other nominees is campaigning? And for the record, I do not think that winning this is the only way to recognize the great contributions, I am just saying that he deserves this award as much as the other two. All I see in this comments section isn't campaigning, it's people who are making problems where there are none. I nominated Jack, people agree with me and vote for Jack... If you disagree with me, let your votes speak for you and stop this whole "I want to have the last word in this pointless discussion" contest some people seem to be running. There were or are doubts about the nomination, I understand that, but those issues have been addressed and explained. So please, just leave it be, vote for who you think should get the award or nominate someone else who you feel deserves it. But don't start a fight over who deserves it more, that's what the voting section is for. --Jedimca0(Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 11:38, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
You don't need to be so defensive, I was only stating my opinion. Also, I think you misunderstood what I said. I said that I thought that what JEA saying was taking on the form of campaigning. If you looked at the comments section, you could clearly see that I tried to stop any angry feelings between Fluffy and Jack by pointing out how it was perceived from Fluffy's side, so that the others could at least see where he was coming from before jumping to a conclusion that he was attempting to loosen votes for Jack. I don't disagree with you, I pointed out it seemed suspicious under the circumstances but never said anything against your vote, and trying to say that I just want a last word in a pointless discussion is just childish. I'd have the last word if just to justify my thoughts, and it was unnessicary for you to comment on that. At no point was I attempting to start a fight through what I said. BLADEBANE Anti-Vandal 11:51, June 3, 2010 (UTC)Blade bane
Then I clearly misunderstood you and then none my words were actually meant for you. Sorry for the misunderstanding. --Jedimca0(Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 12:26, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
I would also like to apologise to Jedimc if I somehow made him feel uncomfortable, I wasn't trying to sound offensive. After reviewing my last comments, I regretfully realised I was campaigning, without intending to. I just wanted to make my opinion clear, which is the only thing that didn't happen, I'm afraid. - JEA13 [iTalk] 12:43, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Now really, this discussion will end. I do not understand why the hell we argue over votes. SmokeSound off! 13:39, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

I have no idea Smoke, it seems to be a popular thing these days to bitch and argue about it. It's quite lulz to read, but seems like a royal pain-in-the-ass to end this conversation. User:CommanderTony/Sig

Okay, not to bring up a dead subject, but what is Roy's story? Jedimca0 was already Jack's friend outside the wikia (or as Jack calls 'em" "his 'fan'") but Roy just pops out of nowhere from two months of inactivity with fifty-one edits just to vote for Jack. The probabilities are not in the favor of: "He was just some guy who noticed Jack's contributions." It is my belied that the user was made to vote for Jack, whether or not Jack gave his (her?) consent. Perhaps he knows Jack outside this wikia, and wanted to give him the HotM. But really, 51 edits, two months of inactivity, just to pop up the day of the voting to vote for someone he shouldn't really know in the first place. They may not be sockpuppets, but there has to be some connection. Jedimca0 was his friend outside the wikia: is Roy the same thing? Sorry, but I really want this cleared up. --Fluffball Gato 14:25, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

It is cleared up. End of story. User:CommanderTony/Sig

"Seems like people are too focused on people who are actively editing, and forget to recognize those who have gone unnoticed in the past." - That's why it's called Halopedian of the Month, isn't it? Why didn't you nominate him "in the past", Tony? I completely agree that he deserved it back then. omg... - JEA13 [iTalk] 19:32, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

That's because I voted for Durandal, another user who was in the same category as Jack Phoenix. And quite frankly...it's none of your business who someone nominates or votes for, i'm sure I made that clear in the similar drawn-out bullsh!t discussion many of the same users had last month. This crap about making a fuss out of the Halopedian of the Month ENDS NOW. Further discussion that makes this friendly competition into such controversy will ultimately make it end up in the same fashion as our usergroups. Have a good day people. User:CommanderTony/Sig

Jack Phoenix has made some great contributions, as has Cally99117. However, Sangheili Commando 021: Fluffball Gato really stands out to me. I believe I'll vote for him. :3 Kougermasters (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 00:29, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

And you're still campaigning. Keep campaigning too, it's really helping you. Obviously you aren't that apologetic if you're still doing it. Seriously, stop your friggin' whining, it's not going to get you any more votes, and in fact your attitude has caused you to get LESS votes because you are coveting the award so much! Go fix your attitude. You were big-headed before but you are really letting it get to your head now that you've been nominated (not even won!). You have little respect for other users, you have a tendency to take a long time to heed warnings, you are immature, you feel you are ENTITLED to this award. Yeah, you make great contributions, but your attitude needs to be un-fucked before you EARN any type of award here. SmokeSound off! 12:28, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
With this altitude, you are not going anywhere. There have been many users whose contributions had been outstanding for a month, and got the HotM 6 or 7 months later (with more nominations the months before), but they were patient, not arrogant. Saying "I'm a hard working Halopediam, I deserve it for all my work" and "I'm not gonna vote for anyone because they do not make many contributions" won't help you at all. Also, if they are in the HotM, they have done awesome contributions. Get that right. If you do not respect them, they will not respect you. - JEA13 [iTalk] 07:18, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
Blade-bane and JEA13, you caused an edit conflict with my comment which upset me gravely. Now, heed my words of wisdom, and stop making a big deal about this you idiots. Voting for yourself (Cally and Fluffy) and whining (Cally) doesn't exactly garner much sympathy. Ultra Force, I've looked through your contributions, and perhaps next month... we'll see, but don't make it so blatantly obvious that you want to be nominated. Trust me Cally (and Fluffy), I voted for myself once, and that didn't go over so well. Kougermasters (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 07:21, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
I'll tell you the truth... I do want to be an HOTM... but to be honest, I don't want to be nominated this month. JEA13, I respect every Halopedian... even you. You do not know me. Don't judge a user so quickly. Kougermasters... thanks for your encouragment. --(_)LTR/-\ F( )RCE 07:41, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
If you want it, keep working for it, and you will earn it. SmokeSound off! 12:28, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
I was not whining but I was just saying that I worked a bit harder than the other users above (no offence). --SPARTAN-125 Cally99117
Ultra Force, I did not judge you, I was advising you. We have plenty of new users who edit a lot these days. We can't have them all nominated in a singne month. - JEA13 [iTalk] 07:52, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
That attitude isn't getting you any more votes, Cally. See my first comment to you. SmokeSound off! 12:28, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
Everyone, I'm sorry about what I had said earlier. I became jealous and was a fool. Let's all be nice and friendly like what the Halopedian community should be. --(_)LTR/-\ F( )RCE 08:22, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

Lolz Cally99117, you have said the words "(no offense)" three or four times now! (no offense):) But I did think you deserved it this month. There's always next time.Sergeant JimMy Stacker 09:10, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

This has become like a friggin' circus... awards that you earn generally do not come on request. Judging by attitudes of the nominees here, no one's earned it. We all just want it and will do anything to get it, right? That's certainly what it looks like. Prove me wrong. Unfuck your attitudes and lose your arrogance, lose this attitude of entitlement . Just make great contributions and be a model Halopedian. You might actually EARN the award - and only THEN will it be worth something! SmokeSound off! 11:58, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

I completely agree here. This attitude won't get you guys anywhere. - JEA13 [iTalk] 12:33, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
JEA13, don't even try starting another argument again. I know you dislike me, but you must understand that once someone apologizes, it means something. The next time you read one's comment like that, forgive him, then move on as usual without complaining. --(_)LTR/-\ F( )RCE 12:45, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
Check your talk page, we're kinda spamming here. - JEA13 [iTalk] 12:54, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

"Politics... how tiresome." Kougermasters (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 01:17, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

After reading the countless comments above, I can say one thing: what a load of fuss about nothing. Yes, I personally disagree with Jack Phoenix's nomination, for the same reasons outlined by JEA13 and the like, and while Fluffy, Cally and Ultra Force clash for attention, this whole thing is a bit ridiculous. Despite my serious contempt and self-hatred for using this quote, "This is not an aggressive election campaign, this is a friendly vote to see who has give [sic] some great contributions", and thus I advise people to follow the words. Halopedian of the Month has gotten far too controversial the last few months, and it's getting on my nerves; nominees, users and admins alike. All calm down and think for a moment how idiotic and disrespectful a large amount of you are being, and let's try and bring Halopedian of the Month back to its former glory as a friendly, well mannered little vote to give recognition to hard-working users. I dearly hope Halopedian of the Month does not meet the same fate as Halopedia News, Halopedia Warz, the Usergroups and the Halopedia Podcast, as quite frankly, another loss of a community feature such as this, and Halopedia will be a lot less fun. All of what I've just said may not even make any difference, but I thought I'd at least try to reach out to the "masses".

NOTE: The above comment is an opinion, constructed with the use of facts and observations. The above comment is not an election campaign, propaganda, viral brainwashing, biased writings, bullying, discrimination, socialism, delusions of grandeur, or conspiracy to overthrow the administration. - Halo-343 (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 13:07, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

Halo-343, you are my hero. Kougermasters (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 16:51, June 10, 2010 (UTC)
Lol same - S.B.44 [Talk] 20:46, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

Heh, HOTM has gotten a little too serious since my months of mostly inactivity. SNOR{3} 06:40, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
