The Hudal-class auxiliary vessel is a type of Covenant auxiliary ship.[1]

Design details[edit]

Hudal-class auxiliaries are small vessels, around the size of a D77-TC Pelican. It has only two compartments: the bridge and the cargo hold. Because of its small size, it is not equipped with a slipspace drive. It has no hardening against electromagnetic pulses; a single EM pulse could disable it. It is only equipped with a single heavy plasma cannon.[1]

Operational history[edit]

On February 2553, the Piety was delivering a valuable Huragok to the Servants of the Abiding Truth. The UNSC Port Stanley learned of the Huragok's existence, and ambushed the ship with its XEV9-Matos nonlinear pulse cannon.[1] After the Jiralhanae crew was eliminated and the Huragok captured, the ship was sent back to space—but with its navigational records altered and several Kig-Yar bodies "armed" with UNSC weaponry placed onboard to divert suspicion.[3]
