An excellent article, excellently written with solid sourcing and notes per the new sourcing guidelines. Evolutions has provided a lot of new information for him and I think the article warrants some time as a featured article. - S.B.44 [Talk] 01:12, February 28, 2010 (UTC)

  1. Halopedia Vote Symbol Neutral.svg Neutral Being a picky bastard right now; sources should be well cited; that includes page numbers and what chapters they were mentioned/appeared in and formatted properly. Some of the content looks legit but potentially well made-up. Citations would clear things up. And yes, I'm just voicing my opinion on how to further improve the article and am not going to do it right now.(7alk) 01:38, February 28, 2010 (UTC)

Catherine Halsey (Won)

Dr. Halsey is an integral part of the Halo canon. From her development of the MJOLNIR armor system, to the augmentations performed on the Spartan-II's , and even the creation of Cortana, Halsey has indirectly saved humanity many times. She has not been directly mentioned in any of the games but it is clear that she is one of the most important characters in halo universe and warrants featured article status. In addition to this it is a well written article, and fits all of CommanderTony's new criteria for featured articles. - S.B.44 [T] 03:47, March 17, 2010 (UTC)

New Mombasa (Won)

New Mombasa has had a flood of new information upon the release of ODST, and it has been maintained to a high standard since then. It is well written, laid out accordingly, fully sourced, has a fine amount of images in the main article, and a sizable gallery. Being such an integral part of the series, being a main setting in Halo 2 and Halo 3: ODST, its article does it justice. It fits all of CT's new Featured Article criteria. - File:Black Mesa.jpg Halo-343 (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 20:17, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

SPARTAN-B312 (Won)

For an article about a character that technically has no gender, SPARTAN-B312 is both surprisingly well written and well constructed. • Halopedia Vote Symbol Neutral.svg Neutral - Its not far from a featured article, but still needs some improvements to reach that standards. As said above, "Biography" is good but it can be expanded a lot. The equipment section should be renamed to "Appearance" that will include his weaponry and armor as well. Some information in trivia could be added to an "Age" section, or to his "Childhood" section. "Traits and Personality" can include a "Relationships" section, where Carter's relationships with the rest of the team will be analyzed further. ShadowDancer |contribs| 04:05, 15 June 2011 (EDT)

True, and pages about recently released games tend to be bogged down by the story description for a month, sometimes several. Let's see how concisely the plot can be summarized first. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 14:13, 30 May 2012 (EDT)

It would fail in the immediate category, "Information", where not everything is properly sourced and is open to being altered subject to SpartanOps' episodes. Until the subject's development is stable, I don't think it is suitable. On top of that, the gallery can be shortened by using the Linkbox template and moving the less relevant images into a category (like how we did with other articles). Reason: A well-written article with appropriately-named headings, suitable amount of images, and correct references/sources. The gallery contains a balanced variety of concept art pieces and in-game screenshot when the Composer is in its dormant state as well as when it is being used. All information are sourced with certainty with no questions marks in the Sources section. Last but not least, there hasn't been any new info on the Composer in newer media (like Spartan Ops), so information about the Composer is like when the Composer itself is onboard Ivanoff Station: in a stable state. —SPARTAN331 11:18, 12 February 2013 (EST)

I honestly it wasn't all that bad a game, Grizzlei. In fact, I might say it was a little bit better than Halo: Reach. Not a bad start for 343 Industries, if you ask me. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 13:41, 5 March 2013 (EST)Xamikaze330
Splendid. I myself believed it to be a half-assed experiment in how you can best alienate hardcore fans. Grizzlei
Xamikaze330, I don't think its better than Reach at all and I do believe it is a bad start - in the wrong direction. Reach maintained those core properties that made a Halo game while H4 threw them out the window. Yes I like & play the game but that's just because. However, in the back of my mind I'm always thinking they [343i] could have done better. Read this review all the way through and you may see for yourself how bad 343i messed up.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 05:15, 6 March 2013 (EST)
Well, I did say it was a little bit better than Halo: Reach, like 15-25% better. But I didn't say it was all the way 100% better. There are still many things I wish 343i hadn't done, like for example, not include Theater and Pan Cam modes, or like killing Cortana off. So, in a way, I do and I don't agree on all or some points. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 11:43, 6 March 2013 (EST)Xamikaze330
That was just my personal opinion in regardes to H4 & Reach. The main thing with 343i is that they did too much at the same time got lazy. They added things to Halo that are un-Halo-like, and cut fun features from the previous games. There was a reason for cutting theater but in true honestly, they had 3 years to figure it out rather than waste time retconing grunts. I just hope 343i learns from their mistakes w/ Halo 5. Otherwise...Destiny awaits.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:22, 6 March 2013 (EST)
Indeed. I do agree on both points. We all have our own opinions. I did forget to mention another thing I didn't like about Halo 4 is in the mission campaign level Midnight, in the beginning the player is stuck piloting an F-41 Broadsword starfighter (which is a little nice), but instead on focusing on destroying enemy ships or even enemy weapons emplacements, the player has to focus more on evading obstacles than shooting anything. That's just another I hate. Long Night of Solace was by far more enjoyable. And I prefer New Alexandria over Shutdown, for some odd reason, even though it is nice to finally pilot a Pelican Gunship without the need for glitching. But like I said, we all have our own opinions. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 12:39, 6 March 2013 (EST)Xamikaze330
I pretty much memorized almost every campaign skip in Halo 4 (except Infinity) and don't even bother going through the missions normally anymore. Midnight, F the obstacles - I exit the playable boundary and fly straight to the composer. As for Shutdown- I fly straight to the third tower. Haven't stepped foot in tower 1 & 2 eversince.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:59, 6 March 2013 (EST)

Might as well add that, if more images are needed, then a list should be made available. Something that maybe should be made official policy, like a Featured Article Nomination Specifications List category. Then we know what to look for, and how to make things even better. --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 17:52, 2 August 2013 (EDT)Xamikaze330

Otherwise people will go about their business like I was, till I saw your comment.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:39, 14 August 2013 (EDT)
(reset indent) I added pictures that highlighted critical moments throughout the game. I can add a few more, but keep in mind that there is such a thing as having too many pictures in an article. --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 13:02, 14 August 2013 (EDT)Xamikaze330
You don't have to add more. I think what you added was enough. Trust me, I know. Learned that from the numerous comments made by Subtank (and she's right). I noticed you added more images than expected. But its kool. I was just looking for those critical images as the original ones I saw were kind-of meh IMO. But you got my vote. :)--Killamint [Comm|Files] 14:37, 14 August 2013 (EDT)
Yeah. I'm glad you caught on. There does seem to be many articles with way too many pictures added. I'm still working on trying to rectify that, with partial success. There is an ongoing development in Initiation comic book and presumably in the upcoming Escalation comic book that renders it impossible for the nominated article to be considered. It would fail in the immediate category, "Information", where not everything is properly sourced and is open to being altered subject to the comic books. Until the subject's development is stable, I don't think it is suitable. On top of that, the gallery can be shortened by using the Linkbox template and moving the less relevant images into a category (like how we did with other articles). — subtank 11:57, 13 October 2013 (EDT)

There already is an existing linkbox on the article. All the images that are on the article have been placed there, and so any image that need not really be there can be removed. Reason: I should probably be working on Broken Circle/New Blood/Spartan Strike/Nightfall/Hunters in the Dark, but I noticed that Wikipedia's article on Contact Harvest was better and a featured article there. Should we replace the image of Sam using an SMG with another image that doesnt play so fast and loose with the canon? - Japeth555

I was thinking about it and if you guys would prefer another infobox image, then I can easily replace it with the image in the gallery of Laden arriving at the asteroid (it was the original infobox pic when I was working on the article, though I felt that a pic of Watts' actual capture would be better). --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 20:55, 26 March 2016 (EDT)

Honestly, the article is in decent condition. It has a lot of good quotes and pics, but I have a few issues. Most importantly, the article needs some references in some places (particularly in older sections). Secondly, (this is just my opinion) I'm not a fan of having small subsections with only a couple sentences. Obviously, it is unavoidable in some cases, but I find it happens a bit too frequently in this article. Most of it can be resolved by either merging them into a larger subsection (kind of what I did with parts of Fred's article) or in some cases, the subsection can just be expanded upon (such as Sigma Octanus). I was actually working on John's article on the side, though I've been too busy with uni lately to work on it. I can add part of that to this article to help though. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 18:34, 11 April 2016 (EDT)

Ok, yeah, you're right. But as for me, i don't see any problems with small sections. It's like military service record, where each event, every single operation deserves it's own paragraph, even if it's small one. Maybe one day we'll got the chance to fill in the blanks. Besides it will be shame to loose a few good quotes, they suits well. But again, this is my opinion. --Necrontir 19:33, 11 April 2016 (EDT)

I closed it for now due to lack of votes, though I hope one day to see the article here again. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 00:47, 2 May 2016 (EDT)
