Cut to a transmission from Noah Caloes to Ader Haddak. An overlapping scan reveals that Caloes' confidence is dropping and he is becoming deceptive. A background check is initiated.

  • Noah Caloes: "The half-life is so short that it's so hard to get any initial data."

  • Ader Haddak: "Every time we open a window in the stasis to exam it, we lose a little more."

Cut to a transmission from Noah Caloes to Ader Haddak. As Caloes continues to talk about the Halo Array, a breach of contract is recognized by the transmission software for revealing sensitive intel. He is eventually cut off when the transmission is encrypted and sent to ONI agent Fixer.

  • Noah Caloes: "Affects the blood cells' ability to divide itself normally, and before you know it, your heart is pumping poison all over your body. We've only every heard of anything like this once before. More or less, it's how the Halo Array worked. It spread out a field effect at a galactic scale that was able to target specific categories of carbon-based life. So now there's a remote, but terrifying, possibility that the Covenant have reversed-engineered the dispersal technique. And it kills nothing but hum—"

Haddak and Caloes are both added to a list of subjects and the transmissions end.
