The Elutuzem-pattern long shooter,[1] also known as the stalker rifle, is a semi-automatic plasma rifle in service with the Banished.[2] It is the preferred weapon of Banished snipers and scouts, especially those closest to Atriox and Escharum.[1]

Design

Although the stalker rifle resembles the particle acceleration weapons used by the original Covenant, it differs in functionality and performance. The stalker rifle employs the same electromagnetic compositors as the M'tara-pattern focus rifle to launch bolts of superheated plasma at extraordinary distances. It contains a native-link system that allows for various optics configurations. Atriox's elite Jiralhanae Stalkers worked closely with the Merchants of Qikost to perfect the this integrated sighting system.[1]

Gameplay

Halo Infinite

The Stalker Rifle is a semi-auto directed-energy weapon that serves as a hybrid between the Vostu-pattern carbine and the Beam Rifle. It is capable of venting, but if fired 7 times in a row without waiting, the Stalker Rifle will overheat. It is capable of killing a Spartan in 3 headshots in multiplayer. In the campaign, the Stalker Rifle is wielded exclusively by Kig-Yar Snipers, though if it dies, the weapon can be picked up by Sangheili and Jiralhanae.

Variants

  • Stalker Rifle Ultra: An improved version of the stalker rifle with a faster firing rate. It can be fired 12 times before needing to vent.

Production notes

The stalker rifle was first revealed as a weapon included in with the Kig-Yar Sniper figure in the Halo Infinite line.[2] Certain aspects of its design bear a resemblance to components of the Gadulo-pattern needle rifle.
