The Cart or Electric Cart[1] is a small human ground vehicle first introduced in Halo 3 as a static prop.

Universe and lore

The cart is a small vehicle that can move small trailers.[2]

A different four-wheeled cart model was used by the Office of Naval Intelligence at SWORD Base on Reach. It had Tiger Grip wheels.[3]

Overview

The cart resembles a luggage transport at an airport, having a yellow color and being attached to some other. It is mainly flat, with small railings on top.

Counterparts

There aren't vehicles directly analogous to the Cart. However, the Mongoose is similar in terms of size.

Gameplay

The four-wheeled cart is a slow moving, single seater. It has no horn does make a beeping sound in reverse. During multiplayer activies, players can stand on the cart without being killed at full speed.[4]

Campaign

In Halo 3, the six-wheeled cart is a static object seen in some levels.

The four-wheeled cart is drivable in Halo: Reach and can be found during the level ONI: Sword Base, early on.[3] It can only be used in the courtyard, and cannot be taken to the next area. However, during the end of the mission, the cart can be taken into the base. Like all other civilian vehicles in Reach, the cart is weaponless and is mainly there for fun.

At full speed the Cart is capable of splattering enemies in Easy and Normal modes, however only Grunts can be killed with it. A Jackal or an Elite will merely be damaged. This is not possible on Heroic or Legendary.

Forge

In the Halo: The Master Chief Collection version of Halo: Reach, the four-wheeled cart can be spawned. It is under the "Vehicles (MCC)" tab on Tempest and Forge World.

Advantages

  • Driver won't be ejected if cart loses wheel and can't be used again.

Disadvantages

  • Weaponless.
  • Slow.
