The area Attack on Sanctum sits, was once a lush garden and the site of towers of glass and steel in [[The Former Age|an age now forgotten]]. These towers once helped launch the [[Sangheili]]'s first interplanetary probes. The towers were abandoned as the area's climate shifted, [[gravitics|antigravity]] was discovered, and Sangheili colonization took place. They eventually eroded away and following the [[War of Beginnings]], new [[Ascetics|ascetic]] temples were built in the area in what was then desert. Attack on Sanctum is a Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer level exclusively for the Warzone gametype. The map was released as part of the Warzone Firefight update on June 29, 2016.[3] This is the only Warzone map to include Jul 'Mdama as a boss.

Universe and lore[edit]

The area Attack on Sanctum sits, was once a lush garden and the site of towers of glass and steel in an age now forgotten. These towers once helped launch the Sangheili's first interplanetary probes.
