The "Deltas" are a team of Spartan supersoldiers in the UNSC Navy. They have four known members; Saskia Nazari, Evelyn Rousseau, Victor Gallardo, and Dorian Nguyen.

History

The Deltas were recruited to become Spartans at a young age after they assisted ONI with preventing the Covenant from retrieving key Forerunner artifacts from Meridian in 2548 as part of the paramilitary reconnaissance force, Local Team. After their exposure to the artifacts and associated adverse health risks, it was determined that a new batch of experimental Spartan augmentation procedures might be the only way to reverse the effects. The team was given a single day in which to accept or decline the offer. All accepted.

On October 22, 2552, the Deltas were deployed to London, Britain, during the Battle for Earth. The four were dropped into the city in M8823 drop pods to secure a package carried by Laurette Agryna, who alongside her father had been tasked with carrying it to Waterloo Station for offworld extraction. The Deltas used a special beekeeper pendant given to Laurette by her father to track Laurette's position and landed close by, ambushing a group of nearby Jiralhanae and saving Laurette from near-death. They then escorted Laurette and the package to UNSC Pale Horse, reuniting with their leader, the ex-SPARTAN-I Nolan Byrne, for extraction offworld.

The Deltas' actions on Earth inspired Laurette to become a Spartan herself, eventually leading her to become the Spartan Commander of the Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science, Nysa.

Production notes

The Deltas' exact full name remains unknown, only ever referred to as such by Sergeant Major Byrne in Halo: London Calling. They may be a part of the mentioned-only Delta-6 Division, a special forces unit operating within ONI, or part of a hypothetical Delta Company of SPARTAN-IIIs.
