Vidmaster Challenge: Brainpan

25/10 Gamerscore icon taken from Xbox.com. Originally a single block colour (with the two circles both being white and the 'G' a transparent cutout), but modified by myself to display nicely on dark *and* light themes, and to be reminiscent of the pre-Xbox One gamerscore icon.

Vidmaster Challenge: Brainpan is an achievement in Halo 3; in Halo: The Master Chief Collection it is simply named Brainpan. To unlock the achievement, the player must find all the hidden Skulls on the Mythic maps, one skull for each of the six maps. The skulls appear the same as in the campaign, a human skull, but with golden teeth.

In the original game, the achievement is one of the Vidmaster Challenges released in Title Update 2 for Halo 3 and is worth 25 Gamerscore. In The Master Chief Collection the achievement is worth only 10 Gamerscore.

The achievement is represented in the original game by a pyramid of six skulls on a Marathon symbol. In The Master Chief Collection it is represented by a screenshot of Vertigo

Trivia[edit]

  • The achievement was originally shown on Bungie.net with a different graphic: a large Mythic Skull with red eyes in the center of six smaller skulls. The six skulls represented the skulls required to unlock the achievement; the Mythic skull represented the Mythic Map Pack.
  • This is the only Vidmaster Challenge that can be completed without being on Xbox LIVE.
