The Rig is a Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer map set on a mining platform on the colony of Meridian.[1] The remix of this map is Molten.[2]
Gameplay
Codenamed 'Towers'[3] during development, The Rig is an asymmetrical map set on a Liang-Dortmund mining rig. It is a vertically-focused map, with many nooks and crannies that players can exploit with their spartan abilites in order to ambush opponents or find efficient routes around the platform-heavy playing area. The focal power weapons are the Plasma Caster and Sniper Rifle. A Scattershot and active camouflage also spawn on the map.
Trivia
- An easter egg can be activated on this map which shows a sand monster devouring a mining platform in the distance. This is possibly a reference to the film Dune.
