Attenuation pulse emitter

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

(Redirected from Attenuation pulse)
A Guardian prepares to fire its attenuation pulse.

An attenuation pulse emitter is a kind of weapon system employed aboard Forerunner spacecraft, most notably the Guardian Custode.

Overview[edit]

Operation[edit]

The attenuation pulse serves as a multi-vector electronic warfare attack that can disable even Forerunner systems[1][2] When fired, the EMP wave generated can spread across a planet rapidly, instantly disabling cities and spacecraft alike.[3]

Usage[edit]

Due to the Guardians' role as policing forces, one of the key duties enabled by the attenuation pulse emitter was that of disabling key power networks. When multiple Guardians were employed at once, the units can coordinate their attenuation pulses, a method of attack almost unchallenged.[4]
