Human-Covenant war

Main article: Human-Covenant war

On November 17 during the Battle of Earth, UNSC Marines engaged Covenant forces in Sector Six[2] of the Pakistani-Afghani border region.[1] Though several of the Marines were killed, one was able to determine the trajectory of SPARTAN John-117's descent from the Prophet of Truth's Forerunner keyship.[2] This enabled the UNSC to quickly locate the Spartan, who landed near the border between Tanzania and Kenya in the East African Protectorate.[3]
