The Assembler is a type of Forerunner Sentinel. Like the similarly named Constructors, Assemblers are used to build Forerunner installations and their components. Though they are not designed for combat, they will suspend their primary duties to engage Flood forms in the event of an outbreak.[2] The Foundry of Installation 00 is populated by numerous Assemblers, as well as Retrievers. While the Retrievers extract resources and minerals from the small moon held there, the Assemblers used the materials to build components of the Halo Array and to repair the Ark, if required.[1][3]
