Rise of humanity
In 2524, the UNSC quelled a rebellion on the colony, during which Rudolf Schein's mother was killed in a crossfire by UNSC troops.[2] Persia IX was glassed in 2540.[1]

Persia IX was an Outer Colony world with at least one moon. The colony there was founded in 2450. The last recorded population count was about 2 million people. An Insurrectionist coup was thwarted on the planet in 2524. Later, the planet was glassed by the Covenant at some point in the 2540s[3]
