Hyper-lethal vector
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
"Hyper-lethal vector",[1] sometimes shortened to simply "hyper-lethal",[2] is a rating used by the United Nations Space Command. It is a term that has been used to describe all Spartan supersoldiers, including SPARTAN-IIs,[3] SPARTAN-IIIs,[2] and SPARTAN-IVs, when outfitted with MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor.[2][4][5][6]
The GEN3 Stormfall helmet and its suite of software and sensors is noted to "redefine" hyper-lethal.[7]
Production notes[edit]
The term "hyper-lethal" first emerged in Halo: Reach, in which it was used to describe the player character Noble Six. The term is first used by Doctor Halsey in the A Spartan Will Rise ViDoc, where she notes the term in Six's file—and that "only one other Spartan" (implied to be John-117, the player character in the original Halo trilogy) has that rating.[8] The term was used in Noble Six's performance report[1] and Firefight voice description,[9] and was later the name of a challenge in the game.
Later media expanded the term to be a much broader one that encompassed all Spartans.[2][5]
