Campaign Remix is a campaign game mode introduced in Halo: Campaign Evolved. Remix allows players to replay the game's campaign with randomised enemy and weapon spawns, skulls, and other modifiers, increasing replayability of the game (which otherwise has no multiplayer or Firefight modes).[1][2]
To unlock remix, players must first find at any two skulls hidden in any of Campaign Evolved's campaign levels. The mode can be played in both the game's regular and Operation: METEORITE missions, in both singleplayer and co-operative play.[1][2]
Overview[edit]
Upon unlocking remix, three skulls are granted to the player; Adaptation, Reload, and Armistice. While these skulls are optionally available to use in regular mission playthroughs, they are enabled by default in remix and can not be removed. These skulls randomise the placement of enemy and weapon spawns, and make enemies fight alongside rather than against one another (ie, so that the Covenant, Flood, and Sentinels fight as allies against the player). Further skulls can be enabled, if unlocked, on top of these effects to increase difficulty or add more effects, with the option to randomise which skulls are enabled.[1][2]
New to Campaign Remix are an additional two new visual effects which may be enabled on any mission; Spore Visibility (which adds a dense cloud of Flood spores blanketing the environment, reducing visibility) and Nightvision (which adds a VISR/night vision overlay on the screen). Only one visual effect may be enabled at a time.[1][2]
