The Breaker Cyclops[2], also known as the Offworld Cyclops[1], is a specialised variant of the HRUNTING Mark III (B) Cyclops, employed by the UNSC Marine Corps.[1]

Design details[edit]

The Offworld Cyclops is a specialised Cyclops variant emnployed by the UNSC for use in salvaging the remains of derelict UNSC spacecraft and their Covenant counterparts, destroyed in the many space battles during the Human-Covenant War. The Offworld Cyclops is deployed for EVA operations in dense debris fields, using its high-tension energy blow torch to cut into the derelict hulls.[1]

These Cyclops frames mount specialized tools for shipbreaking and construction, which may include high-power plasma-cutters, hydraulic rams, or assorted cutting blades. Wreckers employed by the UNSC and contractors are vacuum sealed and kept busy slicing up shattered ship hulks and stations that remain in orbit around Earth or excavating half-melted buildings on the vitrified surfaces of former colonies.[2]

Production notes[edit]

The Breaker was first visualized by MEGA Brands Halo Toys as the "Offworld Cyclops". The vehicle was considered a separate entity to the Mark III described on Halo Waypoint until February 2020, when Jeff Easterling confirmed the connection.[3]
