Protector Cyclops
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
The Protector Cyclops[2], also known as the Damage Control Cyclops, is a specialised variant of the HRUNTING Mark III (B) Cyclops, employed by the UNSC Marine Corps[1] and civil emergency response units including firefighting and medical response.[2] Design details[edit]Deployed in high-threat civil rescue missions, Protector units (usually older B-II units) are used by firefighters and medical response teams for deployment in situations where larger vehicles cannot fit, and unprotected workers would risk death. A typical configuration mounts a large tank of fire-retardant foam and a high-pressure projector, and a high-torque gripping arm for ripping apart mangled vehicles to get at trapped occupants or breaking the reinforced walls seen in many arcologies.[2] The variant is also carried aboard UNSC starships for the purposes of firefighting, repairing hull breaches and emergency response. It comes outfitted with a large manipulation claw and a fire-suppression tank, as well as several smaller tools for the operator including a shovel, pickaxe and axe.[1] Production notes[edit]The Protector Cyclops was first visualized by MEGA Brands Halo Toys as the "Damage Control Cyclops". The vehicle was considered a separate entity to the Mark III described on Halo Waypoint until February 2020, when Jeff Easterling confirmed the connection.[3] Sources[edit]
