At least in one region, the planet received snow and had cold temperatures.[1]

History
Early history
The planet was colonized in 2490. Lasting effects from solar activity in 2453 would hamper terraforming efforts on the planet.[2]
Human-Covenant War

Sometime around 2553, survivors from the Fall of Reach would arrive on the planet. After recovering partially from her injuries, Riz-028 would retire on the world.[1]
Government
Though the FLEETCOM Central Database in 2552 would list the planet as being effectively independent from the Unified Earth Government,[2] a minor UNSC presence including their propaganda could be found on the world in 2553.[1]

Aleria was a mining planet, with one site being the old Volper foundry.[1]
