The insurrectionist philosopher, Yera Sabinus, writes "No prison can hold a free mind" on toilet paper with her blood while incarcerated at Colonial Administration Authority Detention Center 3063-OM-Y.^[7]

The UNSC takes control of the station UNSC Hopeful and adds fusion reactors and a Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engine, turning the Hopeful into the largest mobile battlefield hospital in history.^[8]
The VK78 Commando is introduced into Colonial Military Authority service, to replace the aging HMG-38 heavy machine guns.^[9]
The insurrection comes to Meridian under the Sundered Legion. They start fueling a number of conflicts and discord across the moon,^[10] igniting brushfire conflicts in an attempt to turn it into a major conflict zone for the Insurrection. These conflicts will remain an issue until the turn of the century.^[3]
Between January and March of this year, the group of thieves known as the "Eridanus Twelve" stole the Loaded for Bear, a Parabola-class freighter, loaded with several canvas paintings from Earth, including Saturn Devouring His Son.^[11]

After only two years of service, the Valiant-class super-heavy cruisers, including the UNSC Valiant, are temporarily scrapped by the UNSC Navy.^[12]
