"BLAM" Said The Lady! is an achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It is worth 10 Gamerscore, and is unlocked by swapping Captain Veronica Dare's pistol for a Rocket Launcher on the Halo 3: ODST campaign level Coastal Highway.

How to unlock

Dare is equipped with an M6C/SOCOM pistol for the duration of Coastal Highway. There are multiple Rocket Launchers placed throughout the level — the easiest method is to start at Rally Point Golf, enter the building ahead, and pick up the Rocket Launcher inside, then turn around and trade it with Dare to replace her pistol. The achievement unlocks the moment Dare receives the Rocket Launcher. This can be done on any difficulty and in co-op.

Trivia

• The achievement's name is a reference to the catchphrase "Bam! said the lady", spoken repeatedly by Gunnery Sergeant Edward Buck throughout Halo 3: ODST's campaign and Firefight modes. The phrase was thought up by Nathan Fillion — Buck's voice actor — and is also used on his television series Castle. "Bam, said the lady," is additionally the final sentence of the Halo novella Halo: New Blood, which is told from Buck's perspective.
• The name is also a reference to "Blam!", a long-standing Bungie term that originated as a codename for Halo: Combat Evolved during its development and was later used to censor profanity on the Bungie.net forum.
• The "lady" referred to in the achievement's name is Veronica Dare — Buck's love interest and the officer who commands Alpha-Nine during the Battle of Mombasa.
