Template:Weapon Infobox The light artillery is a Forerunner close-in weapon system that comprises the Z-8250 Anti-Ship Exterior Defense Network (Z-8250 ASEDN) along with the heavy artillery. The weapon fires bursts of ionized particles and has an unlimited energy capacity.[1] These weapons were mounted on the Mantle's Approach, the Ur-Didact's flagship.

Design details

The weapon is composed of both physical matter and sustained energy, its visible components being a series of floating angular booms with patterns of light. In its active state, the booms are further apart and a large sphere of energy appears in the center.[2]
