Victor 086 was a UNSC D77 Pelican attached to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn in 2552.[1]

Operational History[edit]

Main article: Battle of Installation 04

On September 20, 2552, Victor 086 ferried Fireteam Charlie led by Avery Johnson to a swamp region on the ring.[2] The mission of the UNSC forces was to locate and recover a cache of Covenant weapons in a facility.[3] Victor 086 was likely destroyed with the ring when John-117 detonated the Autumn's engines the next day.[4]

Production notes[edit]

  • Victor 086 first appeared in Halo: Combat Evolved, albeit without a callsign for identification. Its callsign was revealed in the credits of Halo: Campaign Evolved, which retained the voice line recorded by Bungie employee Lorraine McLees for the Pelican's pilot.[1][5]
  • As with all Pelicans depicted in Halo: Combat Evolved and its adaptations, Victor 086's is depicted as a D77 Pelican in Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo: Campaign Evolved, while in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, it reuses the Halo: Reach D77H Pelican model.

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ The exact class of the Pelican varies due to Halo: Reach and Halo Infinite assets being reused for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo: Campaign Evolved, respectively. See here.
